THIS EXHIBITION IS THE RESULT OF MULTIPLE JOURNEYS BETWEEN
THESE TWO WORLDS (PRESENT AND FUTURE, 2D AND 3D, CONCEPT AND
OBJECT) AND REFLECTS THE FORMAL AND POETIC EXPERIMENTS OF
YULIA YADRYSHNIKOVA
THROUGH A CALEIDOSCOPIC DISPLAY OF MIRRORS,
TRANSPARENT PANELS AND CONTOURS, THE VIEWER'S
ATTENTION IS DIRECTED TO SPECIFIC DETAILS CREATING A
COMPLEX AND SURROUNDING EXPERIENCE
THE VISITOR EXPLORES A COLLECTION OF
INTRIGUING GARMENTS, IMAGES AND
OBJECTS THAT HELP TO GENERATE A
DELICATE ATMOSPHERE AND A REFLECTION
ON THE ENIGMATIC NATURE OF THE BODY,
ITS HIDDEN PROPORTIONS AND THE OCCULT
TRANSCENDENCE OF CLOTHING

DRAWN ON THOSE.
TRANSPARENT PANEL AS A REFERENCE TO TRACING

AS A KIND OF 2D PRISM, THROUGH WHICH PATTERN
MAKER SEES AN UPCOMING 3D PIECE. CONTOURS:

SLEEVELESS COAT HANGS
BEING SURROUNDED BY
SEVERAL PLASTIC COPIES OF
THE SAME PART OF THE
PATTERN MADE FOR THE WING,
A SPECIFIC DETAIL OF THIS
GARMENT. THE PLASTIC
CONTOURS REFER TO THE
PATTERN MAKING PROCESS
AND TRANSLATE THE PAPER
PIECES USED BY THE DESIGNER. MIRRORS:
THE BLUE-BLACK DRESS HANGS AS WELL AS SEVERAL PARTS
OF THE PATTERN. THERE IS A MIRROR SPACE AROUND WHICH
MULTIPLIES THE GARMENT AND ITS SPECIFIC DETAILS ALONG
WITH THE RESPECTIVE PATTERN PIECES.
MIRROR AS A REFERENCE TO IMAGE REFLECTION AND AS A
SYMBOL OF SYMMETRY/ASYMMETRY.
